Some
folks have been saying that the comic industry
is dying for longer than many of you have been around. I
first heard this in the mid-70's. I heard it again
in the early
80's and again in the mid-90's.
Joe Pruett's heard these grumblings too. Funny thing,
though. Last year Joe went out and rounded up some
of the best writers and artists and brought them
together to create comics for his Deperado
Publishing company.
You say you haven't heard of Deperado Publishing?
You will.
Just look at some of the people Joe's already signed
up: Brian Bolland,
P. Craig Russell, Tony
Harris, Cully
Hamner, Bernie
Wrightson, Andrew
Robinson, Amanda
Conner, Phil
Hester...
And look at some of the projects that are in the
wings:
So the next time someone says comics are dying, send 'em
over to
Desperado's
site. They'll see that comics are still kickin'.
