The Sin City website went live today.
It's got a lot of cool areas with more to come.
I'd tell you more, but why not just go have
a look around?
You never know who you might bump into in
Sin City. If you see a guy in a StalloneZone
shirt, odds are, it's me.

Is This
the Next Pulp Fiction?
Saturday, February 12, 2005 12:21 PM

"Sin City". "Is this
the next Pulp
Fiction?"
That's the question asked by Entertainment
Weekly in their Spring Movie Preview [on
stands this week]. I, of course, hope that the answer
is a resounding "YES!"
Everything is pointing to a potential
break-out and even blockbuster hit for Robert
Rodriguez and Frank
Miller. Every step from Rodriguez's idea
to "translate not adapt" Sin
City has seemed the exact right move. With
potentially the most exciting ensemble cast in
any movie this year, and with Rodriguez and [Sin
City creator] Frank
Miller as co-directors, how can it miss?
The trailers and photos released so far
say that it won't.
But, and this is a B I G but, will
the general movie-going audience get it?
Some, maybe even many, would argue that
they won't. Still, "Pulp Fiction" was
different and people ate it up. It was just hip enough
and the buzz was strong enough that a lot of people
were willing to give it a chance.
So, yeah, I'm hoping that "Sin
City" is the next "Pulp Fiction."

New "War
of the Worlds" Teaser Kicks Butt
Monday, February 7, 2005 8:14 PM

Did
you happen to catch the "War
of the Worlds" teaser that premiered during
the Superbowl last night?
If you missed it , then waste no time and click HERE.
Ok, now that everybody's seen it, what do you think?
I thought it was awesome. Cruise teaming
with Spielberg for "War of the Worlds"...
you just know it's going to be huge. And Dakota
Fanning is one impressive little actress.
Anyone doubt where they'll be on June 29th?

More Sin
City Coolness
Sunday, February 6, 2005 12:51 PM
|

Isn't that just the coolest image?
Amazon has now posted it when you
click on THIS
LINK to pre-order the Sin
City: The Making of the Movie hardcover by Frank
Miller and Robert
Rodriguez. I'm looking forward to this movie more
than any other coming out in 2005. [And you just know
that the book is going to be as cool!]
In addition to the Sin City movie,
making of book, and comic reprints, there is
also going to be a series of action figures. Here's
Marv,
the Yellow
Bastard, Gail,
and Manute.
Pictures of the Hartigan, Dwight, and Kevin
figures should be coming out soon... oh, and let's not
forget that there will probably be a Nancy figure
as well.
As we get closer to the movie's release
date [April 1st], more Sin City goodies
will be announced and previewed right here at the ZONE!

What's New
with Newell?
Saturday, February 5, 2005 11:15 AM
|
I
dropped in on Eddie
Newell's web site to see what was new and discovered
that he's added a ton of images to his
gallery.
If you swing by there you can see that Eddie has
done work for Marvel, DC, and of course other
smaller companies.
My favorite sections though, are the areas dedicated to
the sketches
and pin-ups
that Eddie has created for his fans.
If you've got some time to spare you might want to drop
by Eddie's
site and check out all the new art!
