Australian Reporters Banned

On May 2, 2007, The Age.com.au, an Austalian news source reported that "a publicist from 20th Century Fox, which is behind the release of the Rocky Balboa DVD, said Australian journalists were no longer welcome to its May 18 launch in Los Angeles, despite being confirmed six weeks" prior. Speculation is that without Australian reporters there will be no questions about charges that Sly brought in 48 vials of human growth hormone into Sydney this year.

It's unknown whether this was a decision that Sly or 20th Century Fox made, but it's too bad that Australian journalists couldn't be allowed to attend, and questions from ANY reporter about the Australian incident be banned. For the full story, click HERE. - Craig

They Want to be Like Sly!

Australian news sources are reporting that interest in the controversial anti-ageing growth hormone has dramatically risen since Sly was allegedly found to be in possession of it on his recent trip to Australia.

HGH is naturally produced by the pituitary gland and promotes healthy growth. There are those who believe that when taken in synthetic form it can enhances muscle growth, sight, hair growth and provide a feeling of general well being. These claims have not be substantiated. HGH production drops off as humans age. Proponents believe that giving HGH to older folks can increase their "youthfulness."

Australian laws prohibit the importation of natural and manufactured growth hormones without a permit. Sly did not have a permit and therefore is required to enter a plea on his case on April 24th. He will not have to attend the hearing.
